Crystar®

Crystar® is the plant who’s orange lights illuminate the night-time sky throughout the year. Crystar® was introduced at Old Hickory in 1987 at the end of the Dacron era. The product was referred to as "chip" in the initial startup phase. "Chip," now known as "Crystar®" , has evolved into a specialty resin and is used in such products as disposable microwave trays, fabric, dryer sheets, pillow stuffing, and soft drink bottles.
