1. $15/person - kids under age 9 fish free
2. 5 fish limit - 14" measurement with mouth closed on golden rule
3. all fish must be released
4. dead fish cost = 1 lb off fish or stringer
5. short fish = loss of big fish
6. confines of Old Hickory Lake
7. no trolling
8. winners not eligible for door prizes
9.  P.F.D.S. must be worn when boat is underway
10. all livewells will be checked
11. all boats will have a # that must be turned in by 8:30 PM to weigh fish. You will then have until 8:40 PM to be in bag line.
12. You must be a DuPont employee or retiree to fish.  Other person in boat must be a family member of the above.  One designated partner may fish solo 4 times after first tournament fished together.
13. Team fishing 2/boat maximum
14. no live bait - artificial bait only
15. DuPont and tournament officials assume no responsibility for any accident or injury of any kind.
16. You must use bag to weigh in.
17. There is a $10 membership fee.  All members will receive a free club hat.
18. Must fish 6 tournaments to be eligible for drawings.  18th tournament can be 6th tournament. (18th tournament is fish off)
19. Club will pay big fish of the year, stringer and total weight.

The Old Hickory DuPont fishing club has played a large role in the socialization of employees since it’s origin in 1946. It was during this year that a group of Plant 1 Rayon spinning employees held their first fishing contest. In 1947, this became the Plant 1 Spinning Fishing Club, but was opened up to any other members of the Rayon organization. In 1948, the group was opened to all employees on site. Membership reached 583 members during this year.

The club grew steadily, reaching its peak in the mid 50s. Membership exceeded 1700 at one point during these years.

Today, the fishing club is only a fraction of what it once was. However, the fish tales are just as large as are the hearts. Many of the names that appear in today’s club are shared with those who appeared on the roster 50 years ago.
